I have opened my December account. I was careful to keep to pavements that were on the south side of the streets as the northern ones didn't seem to have defrosted all day.

I chickened out tonight. Two dog walks done today and half hour on the exercise bike.

Last night's run and this morning's were both plagued by slither pavements. Bits of each side seemed to have defrosted this morning rather that all of one side and it wasn't practical to keep swapping over.

I too ran today, wearing more clothes than I've ever run in before: full length tights, cotton jersey jogging bottoms, a long sleeve merino top, a thermal l-s top, a buff round my neck and my Aldi running gilet, zipped right up. I've never been so toasty :-) but it made me think, hmm, maybe I should wrap up warmer in such cold weather - my calves really appreciated not being cold :-). Don't know if I could have gone further or faster without overheating though.

Have read back, sorry for poorly cats, loved CStar's 1000 miles pic, glad Linds is on the mend, and generally hurray or hugs. as appropriate :-)

About This Thread

Maintained by iRan
Welcome to the 700 miles in 2016 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

bunting and 700er medals are often spotted around here.

Happy running :-)
