If you're staying in a hotel then this blog has a great tip about drying your kit under the air con google.co.uk
I did it and it worked a treat, and 2 days later I realised there was a heated towel rail in the bathroom so I needn't have bothered :)

Bint - thank you for the early Christmas present! - Valid for three days; will look at the website tomorrow.

Chickened out of a run today. A few years ago when we had some intensely cold weather, I ran for about an hour and my drink froze even though it had salt and sugar in and was being jiggled about all the time. Somehow couldn't persuade myself to get out in it today, though.

Linds, when you wash the clothes, lay them out on a bath towel then roll the towel up and tread back and forth along it to get as much water out as possible. It's as good as putting them in the spin dryer and they dry much quicker. You can try to get extra towels if necessary. :)

After a run jump in the shower with your running kit on and as you take each bit off give it a rub a dub with some shampoo or shower gel, all clean and smelling fresh for the next run.

And it doesn't really matted if you wear smelly kit occasionally as you'll be running too fast for people to notice

About This Thread

Maintained by iRan
Welcome to the 700 miles in 2016 thread, everybody welcome :-)

The thread motto is:

'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles of either you or the spot you reached the target or both if you want to. And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

bunting and 700er medals are often spotted around here.

Happy running :-)
