It's the composition you need to know. If it's acrylic, cotton or superwash wool then probably ok. It's its got any non-superwash wool then no-way!

Personally, I don't think I'd risk any hand knit/crochet in the tumble dryer, but then I'm fairly cautious with my dryer anyway

That will be fine to wash and tumble, and presumably not too much of an issue if something goes wrong. In fact some people swear by tumbling as a means of blocking acrylic.

Give it a go EP. If they shrink a bit ... it won’t matter. But I’d say...30 degrees and delicate cycle. Trouble is .. that’s a very light spin cycle.. and then they are very heavy.
