Good luck larkim and Chrismean (also can’t help re Valencia) Failed sub 1:30 on Sunday at the coastal half in cleethorpes. 1:30.57 so a course PB. Running into wind miles 5 to 8 ish cost me some time. Happy with last couple of miles feeling strong and able to push on a little. Got Rother Valley half on 5 November hopefully have a go then |

Good luck all. Sub 90 attempt at Windsor for me on Sunday too. I’ve run the Valencia mara and the water was in bottles. That’s still not HM info though, sorry!! |

larkim I have a place at Warrington HM too, but I suspect I won't be using it, and even if I do I am nowhere near sub-90 shape. The course is definitely twisty (how many out n backs?), but I don't think there is any "off-tarmac"? Good luck to others racing either this weekend or in the next few weeks. If the thread is going to be more active, do people want me to update the sidebar? |

I thought the section by the ship canal which is the reverse of the parkrun course was a touch more trail-y? It is only one section, but my recollection is that it is a hard pack trail path, I could be wrong. And what about that faintly ridiculous section around the car park by Warrington AC's track? |

You are correct the section along the ship canal used to be hard packed trail, but it was tarmaced over in the last couple of years. I have bike commuted along that path plenty of times. TBH, I am less sure about the paths around the car park, but again I "think" they're all tarmac paths. But I agree it's a ridiculous route in that area! |

I've not done Warrington parkrun for a while, so that's good to hear it's been tarmac'd. The car park was done a while back though so that's a good surface if memory serves (I was there in the summer), but yes it is nonsense - I've counted 10 turns > 90 degrees, of which 6 are pretty much hairpins. But, for a freebie I can't complain!
