Went to the cinema to see Violent Night. As we were entering the screening others were walking out as there was a horrible foghorn type noise coming out of the door. It stopped and we all went back in. No sound. Sat down on the luxury reclining seats and started to munch my wine gums. After 15 mins the lights came on and the manager told us the sound system was kaput and gave us tickets for any performance in the future. This was good as we were using free tickets that were expiring next week and we weren't that fussed to see the film. Got home and realised that I'd lost my wallet, probably in the cinema. Went back and asked the staff member if we could go and look for it, searched our seats, no joy. However I noticed that my sweet papers had been cleared away, so maybe the wallet had been picked up by the cleaner. Went back to ask the lady at the door, she asked someone else who had cleaned it and found out that Sandy had done so. She got her phone out to contact Sandy, but then my wife noticed that behind the lady was a shelf with what looked like lost property on it. She looked closer and there was my wallet. I took my bus pass out to show the lady the picture and verify my ownership.
