Really good progress back Clare 😎 I think a sub 3:30 feels like a fair aim off that time plus there is a way to go yet, might catch some speed during the build up as well.

that's great to read Clare, it's so great that you have been able to get back to training solidly again and now you're reaping the rewards. Brilliant.
I'm a bit up and down, mixing in good runs with some very average ones. I'm a fair bit behind where I was a couple of years ago tbh but I'll keep at it and see where it turns out in the end.
I'm glass half full but I don't expect that we'll be locked down again as early as October so green light for those Autumn maras :-).

That is a fine effort Clare. A few of my clubmates did that race and said it was a tough old course.
I’m dipping my toes back into racing with my first ever fell race tomorrow evening. Very much entry-level fell running with the first and last of the 6 miles along a canal towpath. Naturally there’s a bloody big lump in the middle that I’ll be hilariously bad at running up let alone down, but it should be fun at least with no time expectations. Then I’ve got a road 5k next Friday, which I’ve done a few times previously when I was properly fit so that should be a good, if painful measure of where I’m at.

Physio reckons sciatica so no "injury" per se, just inflamation and pain / stiffness which is good news of a sort. Will carry on sitting on golf balls / rollering the back and generally making myself uncomfortable for a bit through this week, but fingers crossed there's a "manageable" niggle which I can force to recede with a bit of active management.

I can near enough double that Chris. (actually only 6:38 chip time )
Probably a magnum-worth of red at the 'water' stations made it fly by though.
