Also very good advice from SailorSteve. (much better than mine π€£) I was thinking that was very sensible advice too but I would still race the 10k π but being a slower runner comparatively I recover quickly eg no after effects from yesterday's 20 so I would ask, how injury prone are you and how quick is your recovery? |

Haha I think weβre saying pretty much the same thing Mr B. People generally just do what they want, regardless of external inputs. Itβll be interesting to see what Mark has in mindπ |

I have so many race photos of me looking miserable that I decided this year whenever I see a camera racing I would try and smile. Eight photos from yesterday and smiling on them all. Small victories and all that π€£π€£ |

##Also very good advice from SailorSteve. (much better than mine π€£)## If you asked me and not steve? I would say i have been blessed so far. (Famous last words) Although i have been through all of them over the years Stress fracture, runners knee, Calfs issues, Plantar fasciitis, Mortons neuroma, sprained ankle and so on. I don't know all the english words for the injuries, but i've been through most of the usual suspects. But i have sorted it along the way. And become stronger. As far the recovery go, i did a pretty hard 20 miler this saturday, a bit sore on sunday, can't say i feel it at all on todays easy treadie run. Of course not ready for a hard 10k maybe, but im fine for easy training. But i am always careful and listening on the body, usually just want to go out and get the blood flowing the day after, but nothing hard at all, and a lot of rest and sleep and food. Maybe i have good genes for recovery, or i recover well due to high easy milage. I don't know. |

Thanks all. Good feedback. SailorSteve's advice seems the most sensible but these are no half marathons close by in the lead up. Maybe I'll go option C or B. Ah, I don't know. Great photo Solo. I never get a decent race photo. Mind you, I never get a decent anything photo to be fair. |
