[Poppy, oh no. That’s happened to us. I recommend literally treading very carefully and looking underneath anything on the floor/in corners. We eventually found ours by standing still in the room, late at night, lights off and just listening. Eventually heard it scratching somewhere and managed to catch it]

[ we lost our friends hamster for a scary afternoon. Eventually located it behind kick boards in kitchen. It was a bit dusty but was crunching away on something I’d rather not know about. They do like a protein snack. Hope alls well in end ]

[my sister's hamster escaped for nearly a week, in that time it chewed the felt from piano keys, made a nest in dad's reel-to-reel tapes and finished off in my school bag where it chewed my latin homework]
