No, it's not ok that we spent weeks deciding whether we should buy the kids that new games console that we really think is too expensive, days hunting round to find it at the best price, and yet more weeks telling the kids that they absolutely can't have it so that it's even more exciting when they do get it, all for your mother to step in 10 days before Christmas and ask if she can give us the money and tell us it's from her.

[It's never going to happen, but I can't believe he thought it was even ok to ask me rather than just saying no. The fact that he's even humouring her on this makes my blood boil]

Hurrah! On day five of waiting home all day, my package has finally arrived as promised. every day.

[Luiz, how about you ask granny to give the kids money to buy games for the console. There can be a little "games fund" from granny. They cost a hairy fortune and they will soon spend it.]

FFS - if the deadline is today then I know I'll do the return today (for that read tonight) - but in the mean time my day job is getting in the way. I cant access the club email on work pc (blocked) - and besides which only half of those concerned have actually replied! So I am making the assumption that if you haven't said no then you want to run.

Raptors Claws are coming to town
Referring to one of my colleagues by their first name to me doesn't make me think you're all friendy-friendy with them and therefore deserve special treatment, it makes me think you're a manipulative twat and they've got problems with their boundaries.

Hark the Helegant Angels Sing
It's all very well you hitting the panic button today, but if you had listened to me last year when I said there was a problem, or bothered to actually *read* my multiple complaints over the last few months, or done the line-check I requested you wouldn't find yourself up against an immovable deadline now.

[This is BT by the way, and the deadline for the switch to Sky special offer is tomorrow.]

"We will compensate you for..." is meaningless without actual numbers in writing.

[and it had better be a number that is equal to or better than the Sky offer]

Hark the Helegant Angels Sing
[Actually I have been saying a version of that, but the words themselves will be in the letter that is sent after tomorrow]

I'm gonna enter the first Ironman Edinburgh (which is only a half). I'll have no problem training for that here in Genova.
