Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I am absolutely certain that you didn't end that call by saying "love you"

[SusiesueH I worked with a girl who did that to our boss at the time and she had to phone him straight back to make sure that he knew it was a mistake!]

[I heard someone say it at the end of a 999 call, as in the person processing the call and not the person who rang for help]

[I used to work on telephones and had just been speaking to Mr Jambomo before taking a work call. I said love you at the end of the call and the man on the other end said sorry? I just said 'thanks for calling' in a really rushed voice and hung up! I must admit I was laughing for about 5 minutes afterwards :) ]

I am not at work and instead of working, I am spending my time thinking about booking holidays.

The things I want to do are not in anyway hampered by the fact I'm a lazy B****d. I am actually going to have to do some swimming, and running, and cycling. I would in no way prefer to be sitting on my fat bum, eating curries and watching television.

Actually all of that is stuff I could say but there's nobody here to listen to me!

I have been for my run. It has not been six hours and counting since I put on my kit and told myself to get out of the door.

I'm not feeling guilty about a rest day when I know I need one after 8 tough days training and with a chesty cough. I am also confident that stashing multiple packets of Jaffa cakes in my desk drawer counts as ultra training.

I have not just heard my neighbours rowing and spent 5 mins with my ear pressed to the wall trying to find out what was going on :-o
