Temp is more closely controlled in supermarkets than at home, your fridge maintains a more regular temp than your house over the day. As to whether they eggs should be kept in the fridge or not, the jury’s out. There’s as much evidence for as against it. This is the only time having a Home Economics teacher as a mother has ever come in useful.
