"The one in Keighley looks lovely."

First time anyone has said that about Keighley....

The interior of the bungalow in Keighley is very nice indeed. Would I be right in thinking that it would be at least £100K more expensive if it were a few miles further north?

Exchanged contracts today, so i'll be hitting refresh on rightmove with increased levels of motivation now.

We're staying in Keighley for a week in July, but in a tiny little house in the town.

The thing is the Keighley one is only a semi detached house, what if you have noisy neighbours????

This is a house I walk past almost every day: rightmove.co.uk

I remember seeing the old lady who lived there when she was in her front garden. Will be interesting to see the contents of the inevitable skips once it's sold.

That should be given to the National Trust and exhibited as 'how we used to live'!

I hope that doesn’t end up stripped out and into two flats - but bet it does.
It could be lovely, though

Sallykate, other than the kitchen and bathroom, I think that's lovely. Oh, other than the looming brick monstrosity overlooking the garden too! Couldn't believe the price though, given the amount of work needed. Then I saw it was in London 🙄

Yep, the looming brick monstrosities are what I see from my front window! Courtesy of bomb damage in the blitz ( bombsight.org ), lots of infill social housing in SE London. Or should I say ex-social housing.

I hope it stays as a house. There are a few round here which have been converted from flats back to houses, which is great to see. Not that I'd ever have a cat in hell's chance of affording a house round here. I wouldn't be able to afford my own home if I wanted to buy it today!
