The Kremlin has been talking about US naval and helicopter activity in the pipeline vicinity in recent weeks (nudge nudge wink wink). And about the UK gifting a bunch of unmanned submersibles to Ukraine recently, supposedly for mineclearing (hint hint, know what I mean?) When the Russians muddy the waters like that, it's confirmation that they did it. I reckon they've written off Nord Stream and were practicing having a go at an undersea cable. Just to let us know. |

Seems like Russian forces are being slaughtered in their attempt to escape from Lyman. Surely not sustainable for Putin to send conscripts with a week's training into that kind of situation.

Of course by declaring those four areas as Russian, he is allowed to send conscripts directly there to defend the homeland!!!

Problem is they won't last long. More casualties, more surrenders, more desertion, more loss of equipment and morale is what awaits the the leadership. They may find, what 10% of those they drag in are loyal and good at being soldiers and survive kind enough to go into veteran units. We well as thousands, if not tens of thousands of people leaving the country. Who's left to run the infrastructure make the weapons, harvest the cross etc? Putin looks more like what's his name in N Korea as this wears on. |

I read that Ramzan Kadyrov the Chechnyan leader is vowing to send his teenage sons to fight in Ukraine, but not himself I notice, maybe he doesn't like them very much?
