I get what amnesty are saying but I'm guessing in a fluid situation a commander looks for the best place to put their guys. Also it's not like Ukraine hasn'r spent a lot of time telling people to move west. |

Those big bangs at the airbase in Crimea. I wonder what's going on there ... I think we can discount the official line that it was someone in breach of fire regulations. Ukraine claims 9 warplanes lost in its daily count, so clearly quite an event.

US have now allowed Ukraine to have the long-range missiles they've been asking for? I must say, what with the sinking of the Moskva being down to an accidental fire, and now this, the Russians really need to up their fire safety training

Just because the US hasn't given them toy's don't mean they haven't got them from elsewhere. Or maybe Russian rule in Crimea isn't as popular as old vlad would have us believe. |

If it was long-range missiles, then clearly the air defences are not up to scratch. If it was Ukrainian special forces, as Kyiv is now saying, then clearly local security is not up to scratch (and in a heavily militarized area). So it's all very murky. And very pleasing

If they can hit that airbase, which is a major installation, then what next? Sevastopol, the bridge? It's bringing the war home to the Russians in Crimea, that's for sure. Nowhere is safe.

Kremlin? Probably a bit far fetched. Ukraine have stated they want the war to end with Crimea back. Can't see that happening anytime soon |
