My observation from watching their telly is that for many Russians and especially the regime war is a fetish. The cult of manly manliness and all that. When this is mixed in with a deep (and justified) sense of their country's inferiority, the result is a pretty nasty mix.

I only know one Russian but their attitude is similar to MAGA Americans - "our country is great, doesn't need anybody else and YOU people's culture is overrun with drugs, gays and immigrants".

I've been doing a bit of research into the internal propaganda that Putin's minions are putting out. This one is big on social media at the moment, the implication is clear. It's pretty sickening stuff. |
