This is also reported elsewhere, my flippant side suggests the main problem will be stopping them defecting.

theguardian.com "Russia has no troops left" - okay I'm bending their words a little. |

Not strictly about the war, but anyway. I was in Falmouth over the weekend and found a Ukrainian cafe. Lunch was borshch with the trimmings -- a garlicky bread roll, more garlic, dill, and sour cream. And with a side serving of salo (a Ukrainian delicacy, basically solid pork fat). Heavenly! "Out of Ukraine, foul Muscovite" "Freedom flows through our veins" -- national poet Taras Shevchenko. |

Brilliant. We have a Ukrainian refugee in the village and I'm picking up some useful expressions there!

Just read that an another former Russian oil executive fell out of his apartment window(or jumped). Awfully clumsy, these Russians. |

I have a Russian advent calendar ready for this year's festive season. Every day you open a window, and an oligarch falls out.
