Whatever you run on sunday LR have a good race! I assume you're not tapering much are you? Will be odd not to run a marathon full out, let use know what it feels like to enjoy mile 26 :)

I've been lucky and got a ballot place for VLM so that's my next attempt at 3.30, that last one *really* doesn't count although thanks :)G! And while you're here, any tips from you faster folks much appreciated... Plan is maintenance about 35 MPW, I hard session rest MP+20s or so till the new year then a 16 weeks program.

Smout you too should be be sub 3.15 anyway :)

P.E...
Ahhh the 3.30 thread! Good to see it back up here!

Only advice I'd have is and I know it's open to debtae but time depending, just simply run more (I add the caveat though you need to learn to run easy more first). That took me from a 3.58 to a 3.28 with little or no speedwork. Also practice PMP, learn to do it mile after mile then learn to do it with not looking at the garmin much. Once you have the feel for it, it stops you going off too fast and you're body knows what to handle race day!

P.E... I have increased my mileage but decreased my average pace and so far so good. Tell you more on Monday! ;)

MP, my cold has forced a taper this week, so I may just push ....

Smout - So is lurking fun then .... ? ((pretends to have never done that))

Well glad to see everyone is getting sorted out into their proper threads :)

AL whatever you run, that streak of yours is amazing! FR good luck with the attempt, maybe ;) lesson learned from my folly, don't rely on garmin pacing!

PE thanks for the tip, I did very little PMP runs, just a few miles during the LSRs, probably didn't help on the day.
