I just realized that my time actually were 3:16:11, not 22. Not the easiest web page with the result, but all times were gross, or gun time I think you call it, not net time? Important stuff 🤣 I also got place 69 over all, sounds amazing, (but it was a small race) also ran past about 20 people in the end :)

Haha maybe but we all work hard for those seconds. Get it rightđź‘Ś

In other news it seems my “watch resistance” is crumbling….
….in order to be in with a ballot chance of joining the masses section of the 2024 Olympic marathon, for the foreseeable future, I’ll be logging my runs on my wife’s vintage garmin. There’s an app for anyone else interested in having a crack.

Sunday’s GSR was my first race under these conditions. Suffice to say that I forgot to start or stop it at the appropriate times. Pah!!

Quite a lure that, running in the 2024 Olympics! Might have to take a look, but I guess the numbers of participation hopefuls will be through the roof!

Yep, the numbers will be high but if you’re a runner the “challenges” aren’t onerous at all and there doesn’t appear to be a downside. It’s a supercool hook in my opinion and wow, what if you got in?!

Maybe B, but I doubt it. So far, happily for me, I haven’t been distracted by the tech at all. Start/stop/save/download. That’s it.

If you want a basic Garmin I have an old Forerunner 205 and a 305 model I no longer use. Very basic and easy to use.

Cheers FF. Not sure what model my wife’s watch is but it’s sufficient for my basic logging/recording needs. Thanks again for the kind offer.
