Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Its the "RaceScreen" one - I think this should link to it apps.garmin.com

It's the one which I think was posted on here because it includes the ability to manually lap and adjusts expected time etc "correctly" by resetting the accumulated distance up / down to the nearest mile. I've not used that bit, but as a display which shows "everything" it works ok.

I just note how many seconds ahead or behind I am after each mile and run a total in my head.

That's sort of similar for me paul a - so if I have a couple of 7:30 miles, I'd think I need to get some 7:10s in to make up the difference. Bit vague, but I'm not usually trying to get a certain time, more just to get my "best" on that day. :-) G

Paul - I do that with seconds counting, but have made mistakes before after 10 miles, and you only need to lose/gain a minute when fatigued... so I only do it for short races.

Forecast changed to a bit of drizzle and the various forecasts are converging. Still light winds though.

Broken myself with five miles at 8:40s and 6x100m low intensity strides at 5:40am ;-)

Great work larkim. Less is Best! I did even less Less than you though - didn't bother with my 5 or 7 miles or whatever it was meant to be. Didn't fancy it. But I did do one planned session - sports massage, with the very competent Sianan. I shall do a wee run today and I may throw in some very relaxed strides like the good larkim has done.

Anyone carb loading yet?! I take carb loading very seriously (pig *oink* ! ) I had a weight target of 71kg (should have been 70kg, but I was giving myself a break!) and I was 70.9kg this morning. Time to start troughing on pasta and sweets. Just as well because colleague has brought in some tablet (Scottish version of fudge, but with more sugar, I sh*t you not!) - nom, nom! :-) G

Exactly my twisted logic jda - I don't generally choose to rise early for a run, but two evenings of meetings meant no running Tues or Weds nights, so this morning was the only option. Early night tonight will be welcome and I should sleep like a baby!

Any takers for Chester parkrun in the morning? I'm in two minds about being there or being in Delamere, but if no-one from here is jogging it in the morning I'll stay local.

Banana, apricots and a buttered scone for breakfast today, which is more than I'd usually have. Might need to find some more things to snack on soon though. Concentrating on hydration as I often get to early afternoon before I realise I've not had much to drink.
