Fergus I may have drove past you - were you near where the marathon finishes?

Everybody's going long - good work! Peacey, I've not used a manual lapping strategy, it all sounds a bit like hard work and I would be bound to miss a marker. To be honest, all I do is have lap pace and 10s pace showing and I work to that. The 10s pace is a CIQ app and is a bit more accurate than instant pace, and I use lap pace to make sure the average over a KM is right.

Some really cracking efforts today. Good long stuff from Fergus and Baz & MP from you Gus - remember that you're always an on the day performer, I have no doubt you could pull a good mara out.

Lark, you really are going well & that was a smashing run today. You must be brimming with confidence after that and rightly so. Good pace on your LT combined with this run puts you in top shape.

CW, Good to see you today and well run, sensibly run. While you didn't really feel (or look 👀!) ready for another 13 when you crossed the line today, you've had a hard week and 6 weeks more training + the taper should see you right.

I was pleased to be able to run the HM this morning after being a bit under the weather the last couple of weeks. Didn't really focus on time or splits, just used the 2-2 breathing technique to keep me steady. When I did the maths at 11 miles it dawned on me that I might actually be able to run a PB and in all honesty the head went the wrong way and I came in at 82:04. I'm pretty happy with that and it was worth going off plan for a few days to get the confidence boost.

Can really recommend the 2-2 breathing stuff for anyone interested.

82 is swift WW!! Impressive stuff, shows what you can do even without a precise rage target!

Lou Lou - I didn't make it quite over to that area, so must've been another runner. I was fairly conspicuous, in a long sleeve fluorescent yellow running top!

B of A - Cornton - Riverside - Cambusbarron - Causewayhead - B of A - Carse - Doune - Dunblane - B of Allan.

Thanks all. Pleased with that given my long run ended up with my in the back of a taxi last Sunday!

Fergus - I am lacking a couple of solid, long runs like you put in today. Gonna focus on those now and prob drop intervals / tempo from the plan and convert to MP sessions in the main.

Daz - I see you brought home a 'W' today (as Tiger would say). Great stuff!!
