PAY DAY. I'm pleasantly surprised to report that, by my and my IFA's reckoning, I've been paid the right amount.

That's reassuring, Greg :)

I've had more written information about my pay since I took my pension a month ago than at any time in the previous 30 years, when I was just a small column on annual accounts. I have no way of knowing if the base figure is correct but it's in line with expectations, and also enough.

I found (still find) my monthly pension payments are like free money. Always raises a smile thinking those amounts will plop into my bank account for the rest of my life without having to do anything resembling work.
