I didn't say *THE* marathon Shades. I too did a marathon that wasn't That London. I'm also shirking working. Currently prepping for my tutoree (tutee ? Pupil? Young person we say nowadays, don't we?) in an hour. Have to learn the maths before I teach the maths! Another double and a bit payment to the mortgage this month. 20 something of those to do and... I'm done! G |

Very lucky that we are massively overpaying mortgage. Given that the absolute amount of interest we are paying each month has more than tripled, but fortunately, still a chunk of capital was being overpaid anyway. Just less over than it was! And I'm topping that up anyway. G

Another day done, 58 working days to go (of which 13 are Fridays with a 2pm finish). Today I've worked out my drawdown requirements from Aug '23-Apr '24 ahead of a review call with my IFA at 10am tomorrow. All remains as planned. |

I've been out for coffee with Hall of Fame Retiree of the Moment CogNoscensme AHA eL Bee!'s Big Boss has filled in his NHS pension paperwork. He told her that he needs to take his pension because he hadn't been given a pay rise. The Federation is such a psychopathic organisation that she probably regarded that as a small personal victory. |

Merry Christmas and Happy NewG(rrr) sorry you couldn't get to your planned marathon (I read your blog). You did well to find a replacement race at short notice. 20 payments to go, great news. |
