Oh, Jobcentre yesterday morning at 8 am: Oh, you pick up the phone? Me, yes, I just propped myself up on the sofa from the bed. Jobcentre: what are you doing next Tuesday? You need to come in to be assessed fit for work. Me: I will be hooked up to a chemo infusion from 9 am to 5 pm. Job centre: oh, well, our next appointment is not for 6 weeks then. Me: you haven't even asked me if I am actually physically able to come in for an assessment. Job centre: I see you are a gardener and a yoga instructor, why don't you go and work in a garden centre... Me: I cannot stand up long enough to have a shower... And so forth! It is exhausting! They have my sicknote and diagnosis!!! 😱 |

And all that is for a measily £77/week... As I really really really cannot work, I have no choice! 😠|

Another case of the few (the crocks) wrecking things for the many (those who actually need it) If people didn’t play the system or make fraudulent claims then the system wouldn’t be so shit Sorry hann |

Oh yes, it is! In the end she said she recommended me for the handout and put me in the category to be left alone i.e. no re-training or assignments of inappropriate jobs 🙄 I need to keep asking for sick notes though, until I could work again. I told them that I'd give anything to be able to go dig someones garden in the freezing rain. And that I am dying to progress my fledgling yoga business I started with my friend last September... |

Totally! One yoga class earns me more than their £77/week. How on earth people manage to live on benefits??? |
