I have done a few days here and there but only
a). Things that I enjoy doing, and
b). I get paid a ridiculous amount of money for

The thing I absolutely learned from b) above is that when your boss tells you he can’t afford to give you a pay rise he’s lying!

HOD - in my case it was definitely a case of "Nah" for a few years. Nowadays I only do things I enjoy - and none of them are things I get paid for.

That I think will be the way I go WtnMel

I’m 51 now and been a trainer (sales before that) most of my working life. People that have met me TRO and a few others know I like talking/interaction. So I will do Training of some sort possibly sports based but will be doing some contract training you get a decent day rate (and I won’t travel to London).

I'm doing pretty much what macca 53 does, with the benefit to my, erm, sponsor that they don't have to pay commission to an agent for my services. I could probably push for more pay but it's not primarily about the money for me (it is a bit, obvs.)

HoD in my case "a few months" is getting close to being 5 years and apart from some occasional 'work' for an organisation that puts on trail races (and which mainly involves going for a run) and another running related project that one day may earn me a few quid the answer is definitely a big fat Nah! Apart from anything else there are still only 24 hours in a day and mine are already rammed with doing things I want to do.
