4 years 11 months since semi retirement; still the greatest moment as that full time job had become mental health impacting purgatory. It was more of an ‘escape’ feeling - I remember the beautiful feeling of years of stress falling away and this shiny new feeling of living without stress emerging. Leaving my 2 day/week part time job in January 2024 has probably changed my life more simply because life is no longer tethered to a working week (even a short one) and managing annual leave to go on holiday. I’ve had 3 holidays so far which would have used up all annual leave; 3 more booked so no surprise I’m loving every second. |

It'll be 5 years at the end of next month when school closed and work stopped! 5 years in September since I started accessing pension funds Where does the time go? |

We are on a week break in Malaga. We have already observed our accommodation would more than meet our needs as a retirement home. Not sure we could afford it though.

Lol Bazo. We had exactly same convos with folk in Malta. Very affordable. Live there and keep house in UK and rent it out?! You'd get a bomb for your place being near Murrayfield! G

15 months of retirement here. We are currently midway through a 25 day break in Menorca ( that we bought about 18 months ago). |

18 months into retirement here. We're currently in the middle of having the garage converted into a utility and the kitchen replaced whilst getting use to a 15 week old Springer puppy and clearing my late mum's house. It's exhausting, but way way preferable to work |
