We've had a review with our (award winning) IFA today. Everything seems to be OK and on target. He did say we could draw down a bit more but accepted that I feel reluctant given the volatility of the markets. A concerted period of growth would help instil some confidence. On another note, it's useful to meet him to see what is the latest in business fashion. Apparently some sort of slipper with fancy socks (I don't get the no socks trend), half mast trousers, and a jacket that looks like it belongs to your bigger brother. On a different note, he's a cyclist who does crazy things. This year's is a 312km spin around Mallorca (50k feet of climbing). Nutter. |

bigleggy wrote: Sorry , gonna go back a few pages here about SJP Anyway, SJP are reviewing *every* client and their contact with individual advisor. If they find that you haven't had the contact you should then a payment will be made automajically. I forget the figure they have put aside to pay this but it has at least 7 figures. If you have been let down and not had the regular advice you have paid for, there will be a cheque in the post at some point in next 18 months. I've got a solicitor chasing me to get them to represent me in this - but the above suggests I don't need to , it'll be automatically settled ?? we were told it's automatic if entitled and don't waste lots of the compensation paying the comp-chasers You should be able to get the same story from your advisor in writing |

You remember correctly, macca 53 eL Bee! did the 312km version in the olden days when it was a loop of the island, and we've both done the shorter routes including twice on the tandem. The organisation got greedy and ramped up the number of entrants over the years and when we last rode it in 2019 it was no longer fun.
