Yes please @Sigh! Is it sad that I have a countdown app on my phone which is counting down the days, hours, minutes and seconds until 5pm on 20th Dec next year? Not in the slightest. Some of us have those in place and are still years out!! |

I had a countdown app on my phone from when I resigned (December) to being able to leave (the following August), Roobarb

Merry Christmas and Happy NewG(rrr)
Resurrecting the post or pre-retirement questionnaire (just for my nosiness, but others have found it interesting / useful too, I think?) 2023/24 retirement-a-go-go! You lucky lot! Anyone else who has retired recently (or not recently, or with a planned retirement date) want to have a go? What was your job? Who was your employer (anonymise it as "one of the big 5 xx" or otherwise if you want)? Did you like your job when you started or at some previous point? -) Did you like it by the time you chose to retire? Do you feel you retired later than you would like, about the right time (or hopefully unusual, but were you forced to retire earlier than you would have liked and wish you could have worked longer?) (optional!) What were your financial considerations at point of retirement (e.g. was worried couldn't afford it, but decide right thing to do; or discovered that we had plenty with pensions; hadn't really realised could do it, or had always planned and saved diligently to reach this point etc.) G |

I had a count down on my app for my retirement and it was over a year when I started. Am on countdown again- 3 more shifts and then back to full time retirement. If you hear me say I am going to get a Christmas temp job next year, lock me in a room until I come to my senses 😂😂 |
