Good news, Jenni-far-far. Hopefully, by the time your FA comes through, you'll find you don't want or need to look for anything else after xmas.

So had my usual 1:1 with my current boss (getting new boss next month) this week and floated the idea to him that I would like to go part time in January 2024. So now got an email with a form to fill out to send back to HR and new boss. Will spend weekend thinking it through. My contracted hours are 37.5 per 5 day working week so do I go: 1. Tue to Thu with 7.5 hours each day 2. Mon to Thu with 7.5 hours each day 3. Tue to Thu with 9 hours each day My preference would be #1 to test out retirement type finances and extra time. #3 would be better in terms of finances but does not seem right if the plan is to work less. |

Thanks EvilPixie - I need to get the HR folks to send me details on what effect this means for taking holidays as a lot of bank holidays in the UK fall on Mondays.

Fizz :-)
But you should get the bank holiday days added into your holiday allowance. Although pro-rated. (I think that’s the right word!) If you don’t work Mondays it should work in your favour. |
