Splendid, Mrs J The Federation "accidentally" changed eL Bee!'s last working day from the Wednesday to the Friday of his last week, but he spotted it and they changed it back without too much fuss. Otherwise he wouldn't have been there. |

I’m still looking at a further 4 years of making the best of a patience sapping customer service situation. Maybe part time before the final curtain, but maybe something else to fill all those hours on a self employed basis to suit myself. My Dad ( Plumber and Heating Engineer)continued working into his eighties but only for favourite customers.

Listening to the Schwarzenegger audio book: "Rest is for babies, relaxation is for retirement" Made me smile.

I feel I can finally delurk as Ive been following this thread for ages Ive been so fed up with work but didnt realistically think I could afford to give a well paid job and go for something low paid and part-time (I want out of my previous career) anyway, Ive lost the plot with work and handed my notice in. Saw a FA yesterday who is going to crunch all my numbers but says I can just go for it as I'm in a good position with various pension pots. I'm so delighted! will be finishing at Christmas then taking a decent break before I look for something else - yippppeeee |
