Boston Marathon bombing changed the security for marathons around the world to make it safer for participants.

Covid19 has forced everyone to go online and companies have been adapting such as:
- Banks. Belgium is forcing everyone to use cards and no cash & high street banks are trying to get us to do all our stuff online (check out Monzo and Revolut as 2 banks that are only online and have less fees)
- Local Check-a-trade is asking folk to send in pictures and builders are to do an initial quote from that
- An ad for an architecture company says they will help you create your dream home using VR and will send you a pair of VR Goggles.
- More people are using technologies like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Skype, Logme In, Webex to do meetings and can see that will continue moving forward.

Think technology hackers will increase since everything is being digitised.

How will travel change?

How will shops change?
How will our everyday interactions change?

Someone I worked with many years ago said retail would change in years to come. They thought big shopping centres like the one I work in won't exist and all it would be a giant warehouse. I can see that

I think retail won't be the same. Whether shopping will return to how it was but itvwill be many months for shopping centres to return to how they were. Maybe the high street will make a resurgence

It’ll be Amazon or tiny local shops

There won’t be many pubs left unless they’re very good

The stranglehold that the major supermarkets have over farmers will end.

Local produce on local outlets.

The rise and rise of the micro brewery

More people growing their own.

In terms of social distancing. Won't bigger shops and fewer visits be best?

Having said that. I use small 8ndependent shops as much as possible. Always have. The food is better.

Less air travel..especially short haul....margins too small. Ferries will be back. Lots of space on those
