A cash back credit card - I buy everything with my creit card & pay it off next time I,m sat at PC - money for nothing & Nationwide at the moment are doing 0.5% cash back plus interest free purchases for 18 months & balance transfers interest free for 17 months.
Bulk buying at Costco can save a fotune but plan what you are going to need & how long it will keep.

Did a week's challenge, back in November - all food and drink that passes your lips for 7 days must come out of a £7 budget. careful planning required before hand, and rationing during the week, but it was certainly do-able. Peanut butter on toast and porridge featured heavily. But it did make us realise just how much we could cut back on our food shopping, and still eat heathily and well.

another option is speculate to accumulate & have in the past bought bulk whole sale lots off ebay then split up to sell individually - a few years back I spent £2500 on a cash reward credit card the day after the bill arrived (to maximise time to pay) bought loads of second hand PS2 consoles & games after postage paypal & ebay fees I made £1500 for 6 weeks work & the kids got one for Christmas with half a dozen games too.

I started an excel spreadsheet yesterday where I have to put down EVERYTHING that I spend. Has already made me think a lot more about what I'm spending my money on. I realise I have a bad coke habit (well, diet coke habit) so first thing I did was buy a pack of 6 on special offer for around £1.50 and bring one to work with me. They cost 70p at the vending machine...

Glad to see the thread is taking off! Money Saving Expert is good, but the emails can actually lead you to spend more as they point out good deals that suddenly seem too good to miss!
I've not had any joy with Quidco, but have had loads back via Topcashback.
Today I have spent nothing at all (yay), but I got a letter in the post telling me I got Wimbledon tickets in the ballot (even more yay - one very, very excited mum too when I told her), but that does mean I have to shell out for tickets, transport and probably a mother friendly hotel (booo).

THRIFTY shoppers. Save cash when buying apples in the supermarket by removing the stalks to reduce the weight. You'll be smiling all the way to the checkout on your 176th visit as you effectively claim your free apple.
GENTLEMEN. Save money on expensive dating agencies. Simply stand across the road from your local lonely hearts club and when you see someone you like come out, follow them home at a discreet distance. After they have entered their home, leave a dignified amount of time before knocking on their door and asking them out for a drink.
