I'm sure that's true Rich, but 3 x 1 hour faff about in the gym vaguely playing at core work is better than zero core work! Which is my alternative! :-)G

Something is always better than nothing and if you have to go to the gym for the motivation, then that's what you have to do. :-)

I'm currently trying to do that, Rich, fitting in about 15/20 min core work after my easy runs. It's pretty tough though because I have neglected the mid section for about 3 years. I already find 20 min quite challenging but I'm determined to keep going with at least 2x 20 min a week, preferably 3x20. This thread is great motivation.

I find a little and often is easier to manage than 2 or 3 long sessions and you can get a lot in if you're doing something most days.

Having said that, I've done nothing for four days now. I'm back on the wagon tomorrow.

Did 45 mins on Fri, swim Thu and Fri, runs at weekend, no core, back to bodypump and Pilates Mon and Tue next week. Saw a guy in gym doing some really impressive wobble board work (I'd done pressups and squats on the bosu). He did medicine ball diaganol, dumbell floor to ceiling etc all on wobble board. After my wobble board pressups, I did situps, plank, side plant, and I also included a load of stretches and foam roller massage that I've been neglecting. I really think that helps too. :-)G

I pretty much do my 3x per week all the time. 45 mins spin bike then 30 mins situps, plank, side plank, presses, bent rows, stretches erc. fun sesh! Tues was tough pilates, plus swim, Mon was bodypump plus bike. Runnining is just picking back up, but trying to keep core going too. Keep it up, good work everyone. :-)G
