Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I have seedling seeping. So, on a whim, as my efforts have been paltry and short, I have gone for colour in 2020.......

I looked for my seeds this afternoon- they were in the shed but the mice have had them. No sunflowers for us this year but we have some seeds from my brother in law so will try growing some other stuff.

I was in Tesco yesterday (my fortnightly turn to do the weekly shop) and I bagged the last packet of sunflower seeds! :) :) :)

Planted today. I’m on catch-up now!

Finally got round to planting the seeds today, some bargain ones from amazon, advertised as giants, but the seeds that arrived are quite small, so I guess we'll see. I decided to start with about 20, garden soil mixed with a bit of compost from the wormery. Hoping the goodness from the wormery will compensate for my lack of skill at keeping plants alive!

Just keep 'em watered and they'll be fine...I managed to keep two years' of sunflowers alive during this. I'm lacking seeds this year, so will watch by the sidelines! :) I'll try keep other things alive this year...at least they don't have to worry about us going away on holiday this year...
