How’s everyone doing? My tall ones that I grew in pots got decimated by slugs when I planted them out into the garden. The seeds that I sowed direct have done nothing (or been eaten by slugs!). I do have a short one (approx two feet) that looks like it’s going to be pretty though:

My tall ones (five tied to a fence, three sharing a pot) are about 60cm high and very leafy. I moved a load of short ones (two varieties) into troughs around 10 days ago, lost a couple to slugs the first night, and they're only just starting to grow again. I've got another batch of dwarf sunflowers just starting to sprout.
I put some of the seeds into expensive seed compost, and they didn't seem particularly impressed with it. The ones that have done best are the ones I buried around the edge of big containers with established conifers in them.

My dad's are well over 5ft high and flowering. He keeps sending me photos to rub my nose in it. But my gazanias are better than his.
