There was a field like that near where I live last year. It's got sheep in it this year.

Tallest one is about 6.5 - 7ft maybe. Timmy has had his day, the tallest one is an unnamed specimen.
The flowers are very small. Have envy of a house up the road where flower heads are size of dinner plates!

Just measured my tallest at 8’2”. It’s not quite flowering yet, so I’m hopeful of a bit more height yet

very unfortunate, Cog.
My greenhouse posse continue, the tallest being now around six feet. It may have to take its chances outside soon. I also have a couple of decidedly wonky ones.

Mine are all very wonky now with all this wind, they look drunk! But at about 7ft tall I'm not really surprised, the heads on them are huge!
One thing that really took me by surprise yesterday was finding what look like additional flowers growing from the same plant??
Picture is a bit rubbish, hard to hold the sunflower, and my phone in the wind!
I've lost two which have snapped off completely, already decided where next years will be planted to be better suited
