It's ok, you would have spotted it as a ringer Actually, not much of a ringer as they were two foot tall and multi-headed. My own are now around fifteen inches tall.

Was reminded by Barefoot Em's blog, wherein her sunflowers fell down in the wind (They have now been picked up and given extra support. Counselling and encouragement.) Mine are 3-4 feet, and still in the greenhouse, in pots.

I need to take a pic actually cos mine are the same......but bigger

4. Disasters are to be posted so we can all laugh/commiserate/laugh at them

5. All forms of growing aids are allowed. There's no drug testing in this competition so if you find the Lance Armstrong of Sunflowers - grow it and win !

6. Bigleggy always wins ;-)

7. As the national flower of Ukraine is the Sunflower, the Russian Giant variety is banned.
