Benty mcbentstem got eaten by a garden creature I know this because half of the remains were in the middle of the pot ad the other half were at the edge and there was obvious signs of sabotage. I'm thoroughly disappointed, I do have a stem of about 6inches on the other potential grower and seeds not yet sprouted.

Watford Wobble
Benty McBentstem bought a small ray of light and laughter into my life.
Such moments are few. He will be missed.

Nah, if they've been outside for a while and haven't been eaten yet the chances are they won't now.
It's when they're young and tender the snails go for em. Once they've hardened up to the outdoors they are usually safe. Somethings might have a nibble at the leaves but they won't get properly eaten.
Enjoy the holiday - and pray for the occasional shower while you are away
