The same evening I had a few drinks with friends in a wine bar on the front just along The Esplanade. It was a leaving do for one of my old Oxford housemates, they were emigrating to Australia. Strangely, about 6 months later there was an advert for holidays in Australia on TV and she was in it, as part of a 'barbeque scene'. I can remember it to this day, she turned to the camera and picked up a glass of wine. It was sunny, I was envious!
