Somewhere near there, ITG, you will cross the Elan Aqueduct, which I find weirdly fascinating.
It's a 73-mile pipeline which carries water from the Elan Valley (hello, Rhayader Round The Lakes!) to Birmingham. The water flows entirely by gravity and travels at around 2 mph, taking a day and a half to reach its destination. Every now and then, you might stumble on a remote valve house or similar building in the middle of the countryside thereabouts.

Rhayader round the Lakes is a fab race. (Pancake flat too 🤣🤣🤣)
Worth stopping off at the red kite centre as well. Quite a site at feeding time.

I'm doing the spring one following a couple of cancellations and rebookings. I ran it once when it was a 20-miler, in 2009.
