Waitrose All Butter *** Flaky, buttery pastry and just the right amount of tasty filling Tesco Finest There is a nice flavour of cinnamon, matched by bursts of citrus fruit and the pastry has a good crunch M&S Collection * Nice dusting if icing sugar and lots of identifiable fruit, but the pastry crumbles to nothing in the mouth Aldi Specially Selected More a mini bakewell than a mince pie and totally overpowere by almond essence Lidl Deluxe A sweet, solid chew. Good in toffee, less so in a mince pie. Bargain price though. Sainsburys Taste the Difference ** Cardboardy pastry and gummy filling. Not terribly festive
