He means he wasn’t lapped. And I’ll be looking at the same for the women’s grand vets…

Just cleaned and lubed my MTB for the first time since my off, and the broken arm. Not unsurprisingly had lost a little love for it, cos coming off f**king hurt, a lot.

However, as my better half quite succinctly put it, "You can't blame the bike for the rider being a f**king idiot". Summed it up quite nicely to my way of thinking.

So, cleaned, oiled, new flats on, and a commitment to ride as soon as I'm back from my hols.

Just hope I can stay upright the next time. :-)

Upright.....

Having crashed today I can confirm it hurts.

Especially on top of old injuries however nothing more than cuts and bruises

Great to see you today Han and Cath

Yes, so good to catch up. Sorry I was dashing about a bit.

It was good to ride round the off piste stuff at Cannock. You really are spoiled for choice of trails. I did ride the one up the side of the road having been to the rock garden - did a bit more of the red then cut up. Have to say the drop isn’t anything like it used to be. I think the roll into the gully was more techy

And that is just the tip of the iceberg for trail options. There’s loads more over the other side - with more techy options.

Great race; just slight shame McConnell had the mechanical, as it would have been great to have them properly head to head throughout.

Men's is also worth watching; several riders consistently taking swings at each other in a way you'd more associate with short track.

26 / 27.5 (650b) / 29 / 27.5+ (650b+) / 29+ / fat
whatever you ride, enjoy it :)

Gravel also welcome :)

Also, is 26 dead yet?
