Doubt I,ll ever change from my 26ers, I was tempted by 29 full bounce once but came to my senses. I have enough tyres to outlast my cycling expectations, frames are all good and everything else can be replaced if needed.

I knew that Gobi would not be able to resist a CX outing...

Decent tyres are becoming harder to get hold of. Certainly much less choice than there used to be.

That's nuts - there must still be more 26ers out there than 27.5 / 29ers...?

There are, Cath, but not the top end of things. 26 won’t die as there are far more 26ers in Asia than anything else, but in terms of the nicest compounds and choice of widths etc it’s not a big market.

We don’t keep nice tyres in stock as there is way too much choice now. We couldn’t afford to keep that level of stock never mind where we’d put all of them. There are at least 15 flavours of Nobby Nic in just the Addix compound.

Cyclopark in January will be cold G, or snowy like the Shrewsbury round a couple of years ago.

Clash with son's birthday celebration so won't be at Nationals unless plans change significantly.

Since the last appearance of Kaph, some time ago... there are now three wheel sizes, and now new plus (+) tyres for the even more adventurous!

26 / 27.5 (650b) / 29 / 27.5+ (650b+) / 29+ / fat
whatever you ride, enjoy it :)

Gravel also welcome :)

Also, is 26 dead yet?
