Sad you were not around last night Cath buy I know you heard what happened

MTB ride last night and came across a group around a crashed rider. One of our group is a first aider so we stopped. I did the slow people down with a light and a big gob routine and we stayed to get him to an ambulance. Crashed myself riding my bike while pushing his to his wife who was waiting by his car:-)

MTB riders are a good bunch poor chap was banged up and still had a sense of humour!

Did a go tri duathlon today just to get me back working hard off road.

Lots of fire road but fast descents and a few muddy corners meant all in all a good effort.

Power was excellent which surprised me after my down time

Good stuff, Gobster

Season definitely changed to mud tyres here. Not that I tend to ride anything particularly low profile anyway, but there’s a time and a place for a good mud shedder. May we just have a moment for the demise of the Beaver from Maxxis.

For my sins I am thinking next year I may explore more of these offroad events assuming the body is up to the task.

Back on the z-max and spesh rear tyre mix for winter, leaf decay and mud for next few months mixed with frost will make for lethal combination if I continued using semi-slicks in my part of the valleys.
Forecast for next few days might mean pedalo will come out to play though!

I haven’t changed my tyres for winter this past couple of years. Will see how it goes. Not sure I can be arsed with all the jizz...

Our mud is too grim to not change tyres. It’s still pretty grim with mud tyres.

Yes, tbf from the photos I’ve seen, by comparison we have it very easy in Cannock Chase.

Muddy on the chase last night

:¬)

I guess I am ok as I run compromised tyres all year

Ground control front and rear, just play with the pressures

Gravel also welcome :)

Also, is 26 dead yet?
