How disappointing, *Anj*. But maybe a better outcome if it means you'll get to ride in more pleasant conditions.

I'm not too bothered about it being cancelled, I'm only 15 mins away so can make it up there any time.
It was an interesting ride though

I’ll bet it was. Did you ride back up for a second run?

No, we did go for a 2nd uplift, some of the group managed to get the last few places on the bus so I waited with two others. Waited ages and nothing coming so we ended up heading back to the visitors centre for a hot drink and food.
Turned out the other buses had stopped half way up and whilst the driver of their bus was talking to the other drivers, their bus started slipping down the hill. They all bailed out of the bus and luckily the trailer rolled into a ditch and stopped it sliding any further. Scary stuff. They cycled the rest of the way up and did a second run.

Yep that’s scary enough. Imagine watching your bike on the trailer as it slid down the hill and into a ditch too...!

I know. luckily, no damage any bikes but surprised that BPW management didn't stop the uplifts earlier.

Blimey *Anj* that's adventurous enough
BPW does look pretty in the snow, I've mainly seen it vaguely through a cloud...

Brilliant days riding at the Dorset Rough Rider's (DRRt) Winter Revolution. 23 of the muddiest, wettest, stickiest bridleways and by-ways you could imagine. The route took us from Dorset, into Hampshire and Wiltshire and made it clear how poorly served we are in Devon for this kind of riding! In the whole of the 23 miles, at least 90% was off road. Jubear and I had our FATs and MrJB had his plus. The FATs were an adventure in the mud and it's fair to say it wasn't their finest hour, but I love that bike and wouldn't have swapped it for anything! Great day and fab last big ride to end the year
