Lol at "can't see past the biscuit tin" rf. Thanks for tips. I could try my councillor. What is your caution of care Bazo? Careful just never to disagree with the planning dept of a council? Or not to be rude to the staff? The latter I completely agree with. My disagreement is with the council or even with government guidance on planning, not with the individuals on the ground. Actually, thinking about it rf, I could just do it without permission. The worst they can do is make me take it down. It should only cost me c £5k to put up. If I have to take it down and then get permission then reinstate it, the labour would only cost a few hundred quid. It's not like having to knock down a building or anything. G |

Lol. Was just joking given my daughter will soon be part of the council planning function and it’s her chosen career path. She did have the chance to join the enforcement team, but preferred working in listed buildings. |

Very best of luck to her Bazo. Hope she can help shape some better policies! Or services at least! G

It’s great to see her embarking on a career path she has chosen and has a real passion for. Her older brother also similar. Compare that to their cynical old dad who has had enough of the corporate shit.

Good luck HG. MrsR is an architect and works with the planners all the time - not windmills though. Always better to work with them than against them.

It's such a funny one. Yes, fine with neighbours. They would barely see it anyway. And assuming it's not very noisy then really don't think they'd notice it. It's a really small, vertical one, rather than rotor high on a pole. If I could get it working, and it serves e.g. 5000 - 10000 kWh per year to us, then I could consider connecting them to it or to a second one too, for community benefit too.
