I just looked into rail prices - £62.40! Ridiculous, don't they want people off the roads? |

AR at that price a Senior Railcard for £30 for a year might be a worthwhile investment - 30% off £62 gives you more than half your money back straightaway and there may well be other train journeys you'll want to make?

ChrisHB is the expert on this, but sometimes there are cheaper ways to travel by buying two tickets, i.e. a ticket from A to B and from B to C rather than an expenside one from A to C. It's surprising how often it's cheaper. Without a railcard I've looked at Bournemouth to Oxford for that day and you can get a return for £43.61 without a railcard. With a Senior Railcard £28.71. trainsplit.com |
