Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

No thinking here, even the ineffective kind.

I'm still looking into planning an Oxford outing for the future. Some of the Thames/Isis footpath in the West of Oxford is inaccessible ATM due to building work, and will be for some time. A work in progress.

I'm looking forward to the next TBC wherever it may be though.

I hope something might be possible for June. Perhaps when McG gets back from his travels and the Easter hols are over someone could come up with the route and logistics etc.

Why don't we go back to the original route? It has so many possoble shorter routes.

Tower Bridge to Hammersmith crossing all the bridges is about 15 miles
Start at Big Ben instead would be about 11 miles and there are plenty of tube stations along the way for shorter routes too.
Hammersmith was quite a good spot for lunch and a lovely bridge to end on

Big Ben to Hammersmith might be enough in summer, that's 10 bridges and would move us away from the busiest most touristy bit straightaway. I quite like the idea of starting on Westminster Bridge.

Looks like you're organising then B :) Doodle poll? May might be a bit too near, perhaps June/July?
