Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Tower Bridge to Thames Barrier is 11 miles and has no bridges, but two tunnels for a change. Though if we started at Tower Bridge (which is more central) we'd have to get a tube somewhere nice for lunch as I think the Barrier end isn't very nice. There's also the chairlift thing as an extra crossing at a cost - could be fun!

There's a transport-caff sort of thing at the Barrier Visitor Centre. It cannot be worse than some of what some of us have endured in the post-TBC food stakes.

Two tunnels? What's the non-Greenwich one?

Ooh apparently the Rotherhithe road tunnel has pavements either side of the road. I have no idea how close these tunnels are though :-)
