Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

20 bridges? - Was this the longest TBC ever?

Or just the bridgiest?

certainly not the longest, we had a couple of 16 milers, but definitely the bridgiest (some of them were very small)

The problem with Oxford is that you can no longer run from Magdelen(e) Bridge past Parson's Pleasure to the back of the University Parks and the Rainbow Bridge.

Otherwise, starting at the Trout and running down the Thames and up the Cherwell and back through Port Meadow would be ideal.

Has the TBC1 been done going over the bridges the other way yet?

Perhaps the next one should be back in London so it's more accessible to more northern Fetchies.

Don't get too excited. This isn't announcing a new TBC, but I've just entered a London Bridges Challenge which is happening in July. It's a seven mile walk organized by Kidney Research UK, which is a charity close to my heart (and kidney).
It's exciting because London is almost abroad to me! In sixty years I've visited the capital seven times (two marathons, two weddings, one passport office and two sight seeing).
I've asked if I can run the course rather than walk, but I'm just looking forward going whatever their answer. The route is Tower to London bridge and back.

Tower Bridge to London Bridge and back is about half a mile. Presumably they'll be throwing some more bridges in there?

Senile moment there. Tower bridge to Westminster and back. Apparently we're not allowed to use the railway bridges though!
