Raffo and I were first to arrive at pub having walked from Putney footbridge (wrong bridge direction so we had to bypass eactual Putney Bridge) Linds and I kept texting each other re whereabouts and ETAs, probably deeply annoying our respective companions (Raffo and Jiggses) They were next to arrive - we all timed it v well.

Thanks for the mementos, the route planning and the company @McGoohan Lovely day out. My feet hurt! Great to see such a big turnout and see old and new faces  The pub were great, couldn't believe how quickly they brought food given how busy they were

I was knackered after only four miles walking - I don't how you runners and run-walkers do it AND with added parkruns beforehand (you know who you are). BONKERS! Mind you I do have to keep up with my younger and taller partner, who - having disappeared into a riverbank daydream - suddenly realises he has left his determinedly texting true love 50 metres behind... We had a lovely walk though dodging the boat crews. And thanks to the excellent company of Fenland Flier beforehand at Hungerford to Westminster. |
